Introducing Fuzzy Fletcher
Fuzzy Fletcher held the position of Mayor of Snoqualmie from 1998 to 2005, following a two-year term as a member of the Snoqualmie City Council from 1996 to 1997. During the year 2002, Fuzzy played a significant role in a groundbreaking agreement outlined in Chapter 6 of "New Economy of Nature: The Quest to Make Conservation Profitable," a book authored by ecologist Gretchen Daily and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Katherine Ellison. This agreement was instrumental in preserving approximately 150 acres of forested land situated above the 268-foot Snoqualmie Falls, a well-known tourist attraction and a place of great significance for the Snoqualmie Tribe. Presently, Fuzzy takes pride in serving as the skilled cutler for Buffalo Bladeworks.
